Our Volunteer Program provides opportunities for people to develop and share skills, participate in the services and programs delivered by the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, and together work towards a safer and healthier society for women and their children.
The Kelowna Women's Shelter recognizes and acknowledges the wonderful support of our volunteer team through volunteer appreciation activities on a regular basis. We couldn't operate without the support of our amazing volunteers!
Our volunteers make a difference in the lives of women and children by donating their time and energy in a number of different roles.

We will strive to provide the resources needed to support our volunteer team, including the staff and financial resources to orient, train, support, and recognize volunteers and cover their out-of pocket expenses.
- We will seek opportunities for volunteers to grow in their roles and responsibilities, according to their interests and the needs of the organization.
- Where possible and appropriate, we will provide volunteer opportunities for people with varying abilities.
