Children Who Witness Abuse Brochure

Experiencing or witnessing abuse in the family, a friendship or dating relationship is very difficult and can be very damaging.

Nobody should have to live with abuse and help is available.

It's important to have a safe place to talk about your experiences.

Young people can get help by:

Calling the Kids Help Phone at 1 800 668 6868 or visiting the Kids Help Phone website HERE

Talking to a parent, teacher, school counselor or other trusted adult

Calling the Kelowna Women's Shelter at 250-763-1040 to speak with a counselor and get referrals to other services.

Calling the Kelowna Crisis Line at 250-763-9191

Contacting the Youth Against Violence Line at 1 800 680 4264 or visiting the Youth Against Violence Line website HERE
